If you are having an attack you may use it as often as needed.

Your doctor would have told you how often you could use this when he wrote out the prescription for the medications that are used in the nebulizer. Some say every 4 hours, some meds say twice a day. Look at the label on the medication box – that will tell you how often you can use your nebulizer because every med used in a nebulizer has different time frames.

Use it as often as necessary. If you are short of breath and feel you need it more often than the doctor prescribed then don’t be afraid to use it. If you use it more than once every couple of hours then it’s time to hit the ER.
Don’t pass GO, go directly to the ER. It’s out of your control. There, they can manage you effectively.
