is it safe to take Ephedrine while being proscribed ProAir?

is it safe to take Ephedrine while being proscribed ProAir?
I have Asthma and due to the weather change, I am having serious flare ups. I was wondering if it was safe to take Ephedrine in place of my Nebulizer when my inhaler doesn’t help?

Answer by Evan W
No, Ephedrine is unsafe in general. It is a very basic form a hormone that can raise your blood pressure, pulse rate etc. Albuterol Pro-Air is more refined so while it may raise your pulse alittle, no where near as much as ephedrine. Doctors have been trying for years to get Ephedrine removed from the market

This is not the place to be asking serious medical questions. Ask your doctor.

Go see your doctor no-one here is suitably qualified to answer that question
